Review of ‘The Witching Pen (Book 1)’ by Dianna Hardy

This was pretty good. But, I’m not sure how much I can tell you without wrecking the read.

Sooo, Elena is a super-special young witch, and she can’t have relations with a man because (according to her mother) she will lose her magic and give it to the guy. Weeeeeell, she says ‘Screw it’ and hooks up with her longtime boy/friend. All hell breaks lose, right? Oh, and there is a pen. It’s magical and acts as a homing device of sorts for this evil shadow bastard to track and use her for his own gain.

That’s about all I can tell you without spoiling it.

Now, it is only book 1 of the series, and it could’ve been a single book if Hardy left off the epilogue and a single loose end had been tied up. There were a few s/he confusions but over all it was decent. I’d recommend it to a younger female crowd.

4 stars. Here’s the buy link – aaaaand its free.
